Bayerische Jgr Regiment Nr.3 II. Bataillon Bavarian 3rd Hunter Regiment, 2nd Battalion. Stabsoffiziere: Major AnAngeryMoose Offiziere: Vacant Uffz.m.pe: Vacant In 1915 the Regiment was formed from 4 batallions in Munich in mid Nov. 1914 from volunteers of the III. Royal Bavarian Corps, after difficult engagements with the French Chass. Alpin in the Vosges mountains during the Battle for the Frontiers only 4 months earlier. Shortly after its formation the previously loose battalions would drop the identification suffix of "Snow Shoe Battalions" in October and move one step closer to a professional "Alpine Corps", or "Alpenkorps". Joined soon after by a sister regiment, the 1st, both would fight through to the war's end, existing in peacetime until late 1919 due to their disbandment. (Roblox censors "Hunter" so please excuse the incorrect/shortened terms used in place of it)
