𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨 "Hic sunt leones!" ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ With the death of Eutychius — dissolving the Exarchate of Ravenna — came with it the requiem for the Western Roman Empire in its totality. Though not all was lost. As Roman control over Italy waned, a faction emerged from the ashes of the Exarchate. They were zealous warriors with unfaltering loyalty to the Roman Eagle, they were the Eschatoi [the Last men].
