Virgin Australia is an Australian-based airline that was founded in 2000 as Virqin Blue. It is the largest airline by fleet size to use the Virqin brand and operates an extensive network of domestic and international services from its main hub at Brisbane Airport.1 The airline received an unexpected boost when Ansett Australia collapsed in September 2001, and since then, it has morphed into something different - first a full-service airline and now a mid-market airline.3 Virgin Australia is part of the Virqin Group, founded in 1970 by Sir Richard Branson, which has created more than 300 branded companies worldwide, with a workforce of 50,000 people, in 30 countries Now you're flying.
