Description
The Grenadier Guards are one of the most senior Regiments of the British Army being formed in 1656 to Protect King Charles II. This Fast and mobile unit specializes in Light Infantry operations, often using a variety of light and support vehicles to work more efficiently. The regiment is always active ready to deploy anywhere in the world at short notice. The Regiment is also renowned for its dual role, serving with great distinction of excellent and precise ceremonial duties provided to protect the Royal Family in London as they are globally recognized for their iconic bearskin and scarlet tunics. The Regiment has additionally distinguished themselves as a major infantry role with their part in major conflicts through its history, recently the regiment is partaken in a large number of operations in Afghanistan, Sudan and Iraq.
