Description
The 95th Rifles, officially the 95th Regiment of Foot (Rifles), was a British Army regiment renowned for its role as light infantry and sharpshooters during the Napoleonic Wars. Formed in 1800 as the Experimental Corps of Riflemen, they were distinguished by their green uniforms, black leatherwork, and the Baker rifle, a more accurate weapon than the standard musket.
