Description
"Dacian Falxmen" 🌀 The Drapanai contingents were recruited from youth among the comati, the lower social class of Dacian society, forming fearless shock troops. Bare-chested and armed with the falx, they charged into battle with unmatched ferocity, driven by religious zeal for Zalmoxis. As frontline warriors, they faced the enemy without fear of death, their courage legendary, which forced Roman forces to reinforce armor and equipment to withstand their attacks during the Dacian Wars.
