Description

The Principality of Liechtenstein is one of the last remaining remnants of the Holy Roman Empire. Liechtenstein was founded in 1719 after the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles VI, united 2 states into the principality. Although being small, Liechtenstein would later prove to be one of the richest nations in the world and having had good relations with the Russian imperial family, with Russia later offering to sell Alaska to Liechtenstein which they rejected. The Principality continues to thrive although it sees itself slowly separating itself from the Austrian economy and turning towards the Swiss economy. Even though this nation is pretty insignificant, Liechtenstein has proved to be a reliable ally having joined the Austrians in the Austro-Prussian War sending an army of 80 men to Italy and coming back with 81.
