"𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙨 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙙𝙚" 𝟷𝙋𝙡𝙩, 𝘼 𝘾𝙤. 𝟷𝘽𝙩𝙣 𝟎𝟓/𝟐𝟕/𝟐𝟑 The First Special Service Force was founded on 9 July, 1942 because of Project Plough which sought elite allied commandos with the capability to infiltrate deep into enemy territory in all climates. The unit was composed of US and Canadian soldiers trained in Parachuting, Skiing, Climbing, and Cold Weather Tactics and would become the inspiration for the US 1st Special Operations Command and Canadian Special Forces Command. After terrorizing Germans in Europe the unit would be decommissioned on 5 December, 1944 because of the German retreat and Imminent defeat of Germany with the remaining members being put into other Airborne and Mountain based units.
