The regiment was involved in the Philippine–American War and World War II. Between 1966 and 1968, the regiment played a pivotal role in the Vietnam War. They were notably involved in: • Operation Hickory • Operation Cedar Falls • Operation Quicksilver • Operation Adairsville , targeting Viet Cong strongholds and conducting armored search-and-destroy missions. The regiment's efforts during this time showcased their adaptability in combating insurgency and navigating the complex terrain.
