This unit is invite-only and its members are handpicked from the MACV Recon School at the discretion of its officers. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ SEALs / Special Operations Navy SEAL Team One, nicknamed "Frogmen," was activated in 1962. The team was formed from Underwater Demolition Teams (UDTs) with the purpose of combatting guerrilla warfare and clandestine operations in maritime and riverine environments. Between 1965 and 1968, the team played a pivotal role in the Vietnam War. They were notably involved in: • Operation Wandering Soul • Operation Harvest Moon • Operation Brush • Operation Sylvester , sneaking behind enemy lines and covertly harassing Viet Cong line of communications and movements. The team's efforts during this time showcased their reliability in combating insurgency as independent teams, expertly navigating and living off the terrain.
