Founded in November 1820 by french immigrants from Alsace-Lorraine; New Alsace is a state know for it's agriculture, industry and tourism. 50% of the state is made up of rural areas. The state is bordered by Montana at the west, North Dakota at the east, Wyoming at the south west and South Dakota at the south east. Seat: Nouvelle Dettweiler, Becker County Governor: N/A Lieutenant Governor: N/A Biggest Cities: Eau Douce, New Strasbourg and Mennonite City Denonyms: New Alsatians Statewide Agency: New Alsace State Patrol Admitted to the Union: February 1892 (45th) Languages: English (de facto), French (de jure) and German (de jure) The current state flag was adopted in 2011.
