📯 Bulgaria was formed after the 1877 Russo-Turkish War, which saw the region turn autonomous with a prince in charge. The first prince was Alexander who fought to bring Bulgaria on the regional stage following the Serbo-Bulgarian War of 1885, which doubled the territories of Bulgaria. 🪖 However friction within it's own ranks cause Alexander to abdicate, and a more ambitious and optimistic Ferdinand was crowned prince. Following the young Turk revolution, Bulgaria declares independence in 1908, formerly becoming a tsardom.
