Atlas functions as a consolidated front, assuming operational duties once managed by prior organizations now deemed too exposed to continue. Officially, Atlas presents itself as a multinational research agency at the forefront of scientific excellence. Beneath the surface, however, it operates as a reformed continuation of the SCP Foundation, rebuilt to ensure that past failures are never repeated.
