Description
History- Not so long after the United States Federal government formed, the Department of State was made. The Department of State major role is to help find alliances for the United States, and also speaks on behalf the President on foreign policy. Major events done by the State department prior to the United States geography was the Louisiana purchase from France and the purchase of Alaska from the Russian empire.
