♔ San Diego & Western Railroad ♔ Established more than a decade after the American civil war, the SD&WRR was founded in order to connect rail lines in San Diego to San Francisco. Originally intended only for rail within the California Area, it later acquired greater importance by expanding its routes to St. Louis and Chicago. It became known for its luxurious express services from San Diego to St. Louis. Unfortunately, due to competition from the AT&SF Railway and the downfall of American passenger services, it shut down once AMTRAK was formed, bringing an end to the company. ♔ Routes ♔ San Diego - St. Louis Dizzy: CBuez7Xg WE
