Description
Welcome to the Project Old Colony and Newport Railroad group, a group serving a RO-Scale game based on the Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad, formed in 1844 as the Old Colony Railroad. The names changed, but the lines remained the same. In July 1863, the Old Colony and Newport Railroad was founded. Thus changing the name of the Old Colony Railroad completely. In the late 1990s, the Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority (MBTA) brought out sections of the line and restored the line between South Station and Quincy, Massachusetts. The Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad (formerly the Newport Dinner Train) was founded in 2014 and operates in Newport, Rhode Island. The group was created by ChrisGaming977, the creator of the Lackawanna and Newport RO-Scale Railway, as well as various other RO-Scale games. As always, we hope to see you onboard the Old Colony and Newport Railroad. See you there!
