𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 Crimea, also known as the Crimean People's Republic (Crimean Tatar: Qırım Halq Cumhuriyeti) is a country in Eastern Europe. Bordered by Ukraine to the north, Crimea is situated on the Black Sea. Historically, the national was founded in the midst of the Russian Revolution, where in 1917, a provisional government for the Crimean Tatars in Bağçasaray was founded by Noman Çelebicihan. As with many such breakaway states at the time, the country was quickly overrun by Bolshevik forces a year later. During the the years of the Soviet occupation, Tatar people were forcefully deported elsewhere. Today, Crimea stands strong and independent.
