Description
United States Armed Forces ═───────────═ The United States Military played a significant role in the Vietnam War, which lasted from 1955 to 1975. The conflict arose from the struggle between communist forces, primarily the North Vietnamese government, and the non-communist government of South Vietnam, supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies. The dense jungles and unfamiliar terrain posed significant challenges for U.S. forces, who were more accustomed to conventional warfare on open ground. The guerrilla tactics used by the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army, as well as their knowledge of the local terrain, made the conflict particularly difficult. The U.S. began withdrawing troops in the early 1970s, following the Paris Peace Accords in 1973. The fall of Saigon in 1975 marked the end of the war and the withdrawal of the remaining U.S. personnel from Vietnam. ═───────────═ Requirement: Pass one entry method for any of the respective allied factions.
