Description

𝐑𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚 During the classical Roman civilisation, the Res publica Roma, or Roman Republic in English, was a system of governance in Rome. It functioned through the public representation of Roman citizens. The Roman Republic arose following the destruction of the Roman Kingdom in 509 BC and ended in 27 BC with the establishment of the Roman Empire. Rome's authority increased significantly during this period, from controlling simply its immediate environs to establishing sovereignty over the whole Mediterranean region.
