𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐌𝐈 𝐂𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 Nizam-ı Cedid (New Order Troops): Under the reigns of Sultan Selim III and Mahmud II, the Ottoman Empire initiated a series of military reforms known as the Nizam-ı Cedid. These reforms aimed to modernize the military and create a more centralized and disciplined army akin to European models. The Nizam-ı Cedid troops were part of this modernization effort, equipped with newer firearms, trained in European military tactics, and organized under a more centralized command structure. Despite facing resistance from the Janissaries and other conservative elements, the Nizam-ı Cedid played a crucial role in trying to adapt the Ottoman military to meet the challenges of the Napoleonic Era.
