𝙉𝙤𝙨 𝙫𝙞𝙖𝙢 𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙨 ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ During the Oldest House expeditions of the 60s, the high casualty rate for agents made the need for a specialised, exploratory force very apparent. The average agent, although sufficiently equipped, was often woefully undertrained to deal with unpredictable nature of the building. Because of this, in the early 70s, the Ranger Corps was formed partly out of the Department of Investigations, as well as handpicks from the special-operations units of the U.S Army. Rangers are responsible for the exploration of the Oldest House's frontiers, such as thresholds. They also serve as armed A.W.E response teams, and retrieval units for rogue paranatural objects.
