朝鲜人民军是朝鲜民主主义人民共和国的国家武装部队，采用典型的政令、军令一体化的指挥体制。军事指挥方面由劳动党中央军事委员会负责，中央军委委员长担任武装力量最高司令官统帅全军，现任最高司令官是洗衣粉元帅。整个朝鲜人民军下辖有五大军种，分别包括：陆军、海军、空军、战略军、特种作战军。
