The 7th Armoured Brigade (Hebrew: חטיבה שבע, Hativa Sheva) was formed during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, it is the oldest armoured brigade in the IDF. It has historical ties to the earlier Jevvish Brigade, which was raised in 1944. The brigade has taken part in all of Israel's wars. During the Yom Kippur war, it was stationed at the defence line of the northern part of the Golan Heights (sharing the defence with the Barak Armoured Brigade), where it successfully repulsed heavy attacks by much larger Syrian forces. In our lore and timeline, the 7th was involved in retrieving the Ark of the Covenant but things went awry and most of the men and equipment of the 7th was transported back to September of 1944. The 7th decided to move to fight into the Eastern Front and are taking part in the Vistula-Order offensive at the Siege of Breslau.
