Description
In Foshan’s shadowed, towering halls, Where sunlight fades and silence calls, Machines roar loud, but voices low, The workers bend, their faces show. Hands that sew from dawn to night, Under dim and flickering light. Leather soft, but hearts grow sore, As backs bend heavy, evermore. For every stitch and cushioned seam, Their sweat, their labor, feeds the dream. Yet wages thin, like air they chase, No rest, no comfort in this place. The factory hums, the sofas gleam, But lives grow pale in the machine. With aching bones, their spirits worn, A silent battle they have borne. In Foshan’s streets, the world goes on, The sofas leave, the workers gone. To homes of ease, where comfort reigns, Their toil forgotten, lost in chains.
