𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝'𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨 The Expedition of the Thousand was a patriotic movement led by Giuseppe Garibaldi on his campaign for southern Italy. Garibaldi led his followers in the Expedition of the Thousand of 1860, which concluded with the annexation of Sicily, Southern Italy, Marche, and Umbria to the Kingdom of Sardinia. Garibaldi and his followers mastered guerrilla warfare, which was proven to be effective in Europe as well as South America. 𝐄𝐒𝐓
