GEAS c. 2022 The Special Group of Underwater Activities of the Guardia Civil (GEAS) is the unit of the Spanish Guardia Civil in charge of the search and rescue of people, protection of personalities and events in marine environments, the location and recovery of objects in the aquatic environment, among other missions; This group is part of the UAS (Underwater Activities Unit) created in 1981. The nature of the missions carried out by the GEAS is as varied as the territory where they are deployed.
