For 86 years, devoted women and men have served as members of the Nebraska State Patrol, protecting and serving the citizens of this great state. You can become a part of that tradition of excellence by applying to become a Nebraska State Trooper or NSP Civilian Teammate. The Nebraska State Patrol has a long and storied history of serving the people and visitors of Nebraska. Since 1937, Troopers have worked in all corners of the state with a common goal: to keep Nebraska safe. This mission continues now and is evident in the dedication of today’s Troopers and Investigators as they strive daily to maintain safe roadways, investigate criminal activity, and make positive connections in communities across Nebraska.
