"King's guards." ⚡ The Phylakes Daoi are an elite royal guard drawn from the Ktistai priesthood, whose loyalty to the king is absolute and whose ferocity is unmatched. Trained from youth and bound by religious discipline, they form the hardened core of the royal cavalry. Their closeness to the throne made them both guardians and kingmakers, serving as a trusted force ideally suited to enforce royal authority and defend the ruler in war.
