Army of the Republic of Vietnam 🦅 “𝙌𝙪𝙮ế𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙞ế𝙣 — 𝙌𝙪𝙮ế𝙩 𝙩𝙝ắ𝙣𝙜” ═───────────═ The Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) was the military force of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The ARVN played a central role in the defense of South Vietnam against the communist forces of North Vietnam, the Viet Cong, and the People's Army of Vietnam. The ARVN was established in 1955 following the division of Vietnam. It was initially trained and supported by the United States and other Western allies. The ARVN faced numerous challenges, including political instability, corruption within its ranks, and challenges in leadership. These factors often hindered its effectiveness in combat. In 1975, as North Vietnamese forces advanced southward, the ARVN faced a rapid and ultimately failed defense. The fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, marked the end of the war, and the ARVN dissolved as South Vietnam surrendered. ═───────────═ Requirement: Pass the entry selection process.
