1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) 🇺🇸🐎 "𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖'𝙨 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢!" ═───────────═ The 1st Cavalry Division was activated 1965, at Georgia. It was deployed to Vietnam in August 1965, becoming the first fully committed division of the U.S. Army in the conflict. By April 1966, all division units were in country with the headquarters established 20 miles northwest of Saigon. The Vietnam War was unlike previous conflicts, the enemy fought from the shadows and hid among the population. The 1st Cavalry Division played a crucial role in the Vietnam War and was known for its innovative use of helicopter mobility. The division's airmobile capabilities allowed for rapid deployment and mobility, making it a key asset in counterinsurgency operations and search-and-destroy missions. The division continued its service in Vietnam until 1972 when it returned to the U.S. ═───────────═ Requirement: Pass the entry selection process.
