Description

中華民國憲兵,為中華民國國軍中具有軍法、司法警察權力的執法部隊;其管轄機關原為直屬中華民國國防部憲兵司令部,2012年降編為國防部參謀本部憲兵指揮部,2021年5月後改為直屬國防部。因具有執法權,並擁有獨立的指揮、人事、後勤補給系統,故不隸屬於國防部陸軍司令部,其地位類似於古代之禁軍、禁衛軍,主要任務之一是保護中華民國總統和中華民國副總統。
