Description
The Iron Hills layin the north-eastern parts of Middle-earth. The hills were situated east of the Lonely Mountain, on the boundary between ######### and Rhûn. The Iron Hills were rich in minerals, most notably iron, whence came their name. The Hills were originally a part of the massive Iron Mountains where Morgoth had dwelt; other remains of this vanished range were the Mountains of Angmar and Grey Mountains.
