The Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) is a specialized division of the Reno Police Department dedicated to ensuring roadway safety, enforcing traffic laws, and reducing collisions throughout the city. Our officers are trained in advanced driving, accident response, and vehicle code enforcement to maintain order on all public roadways. TEU personnel conduct proactive patrols, respond to traffic‑related incidents, and work closely with other divisions to keep our streets safe. From high‑risk vehicle stops to DUI enforcement and speed control operations, the Traffic Unit plays a critical role in protecting both civilians and officers.
