Established in 1874, it is known best for upholding the law within the Metropolis of Tokyo, handing out firearm permits, and upholding public security. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police were known for keeping the city of Tokyo safe, but in recent years Tokyo Japan saw an increase in illegal racketeering of firearms.
