Description
Alderney is the northernmost of the inhabited Channel Islands and a self-governing component of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown dependency. Alderney sits about 15 kilometres west of La Hague in Normandy, France, 30 kilometres northeast of Guernsey, and 100 kilometres from the southern British coast. The States of Alderney refers to the legislative body which governs the island.
