MARTIAN CONGRESS "Liberty and Democracy" ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Martian Congress is the governing body of the Martian Congressional Republic. The Congress serves to help the MCR function as a representative democracy. Congressional Representatives are elected by vote of the people. Representatives, in turn, serve to vote on legislation. Congress is also responsible for the election of Prime Ministers. The Prime Minister has no limit on number of terms, though elections are held regularly. It is common practice, though it is not required, for representatives to consider the popular vote in electing a new Prime Minister.
