Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC, pronounced "swick") are elite U.S. Navy special operations personnel who operate and maintain high-speed, specially designed boats used to support Navy SEALs and other special operations missions. They are experts in maritime mobility, weapons, communications, and navigation, often working in small, highly trained teams to conduct insertion, extraction, and direct action missions in riverine and coastal environments. SWCCs are part of Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) and are assigned to Special Boat Teams (SBTs). Their missions often include: Insertion and extraction of SEALs and other special operators Maritime interdiction and reconnaissance Direct action support (e.g., heavy weapons fire from boats) Resupply and combat support Hostile environment operations, including under fire They undergo rigorous training through the SWCC Basic Crewman Training (BCT) pipeline, which includes physical conditioning, seamanship, weapons ect.
