Description

In 2003, the GROM special forces units were created as part of the SDCS. On December 6 2016, the special forces of the FDCS GROM were transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, to the structure of the Main Directorate for Substance Control (GUNK). In the Moscow department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2017, the staff of the regional department of GROM included 65 people, later the number of GROM detachments was sharply increased. GROM provides force support for events carried out not only by the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs, but also by other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
