The gens Cornelia, a distinguished patrician family in ancient Rome, held a prominent status throughout the Roman Republic and Empire. Renowned for its influential members, the Cornelian lineage produced prominent statesmen, military leaders, and influential figures in Roman politics. Notably, Cornelius Fronto who was a prominent Roman rhetorician, born around 100 AD. He became one of the leading intellectuals during the reigns of Emperors Antoninus Pius and Aurelius. Fronto was renowned for his skill in rhetoric and oratory, teaching both Emperor Aurelius and Emperor Verus. Fronto's influence extended beyond rhetoric; he was also known for his correspondence, which provides valuable insights into the political, social, and cultural milieu of his time.
