▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ O 4º Batalhão de Polícia de Choque (BPChq) foi criado em novembro de 2008, durante um plano de reestruturação da PMESP, permanecendo até 1989 subordinado diretamente ao Comando de Policiamento de Choque, quando então foi criado o GPOE, formado pelo GATE e pelo COE. O GPOE foi extinto em 1993. A partir de então, o COE e o GATE passaram a integrar o 3º BPChq, que já tinha, como uma de suas companhias, o CANIL. Segundo esclarece o boletim da SSP, as três companhias – COE, GATE e CANIL – permaneceram como subunidades do 3º BPChq até 2008, quando passaram a formar uma nova unidade, o 4º BPChq. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
