Description
The Orcs of the Misty mountains were a group of orcish beings living in the middle part of Middle-Earth known as the Misty Mountains. They primarily lived in Khazad-Dûm, Goblin-Town, and various other settlements. In 2790 of the Third Age, after the killing of Thrór by Azog the Defiler, the War of the Dwarves and Orcs began. Primarily being fought in the Misty Mountains, the war was destructive for both sides. After the war, most primary orc settlements were left uninhabited. But in the late third age, the orcs began to return to their settlements, all with one goal: bring Middle-Earth to its knees. Thus, the Orcs of the Misty Mountains was formed. This group is part of a wider genre called the Realms of the Ring, based on J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth franchise.
