Description
It is no surprise that across the entire Archoverse, economics drives the vast majority of intelligent life forms and the structures of their societies. Business can be conducted in many ways with varying levels of morality, but all forms of economic systems have one thing in common: an elite social class. Whether it be bureaucracy, monopoly, directorate boards, politicians or otherwise, every economic system has a class of people who control more of an economy and thus more control of a society than the majority of those below them in net worth. In some societies this group of elite persons may be primarily comprised of business owners, in others it may be a large government monopoly through political control, but the majority of societies have at least some degree of most forms of this "upper social class," largely dependent on the society itself, its culture and history. Due to the nature of economics to run a society, many elites compete in their markets for control and wealth.
