"Those Who Face Death" The Peshmerga are the armed forces of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq. Composed of Kurds, Assyrians, Yazidis, and other regional minorities, the Peshmerga are responsible for dealing with foreign and domestic threats across the region, and even active in some neighboring countries like Syria and Turkey.
