But soon later was made a nobility within Sweden in 1810. Karl XIV Johan Bernadotte was made king of Sweden-Norway in 1818 in Stockholm. Karl XIV Johan's ancestors are still the ruling house of the Swedish monarchs and is the most powerful family in Sweden. Those who seek to join the family will be funded for their name change.
