6. Chevau-Légers "Bubenηofen" (Light Cavalry) The Chevau-Légers were created when the Bavarian army was reorganized in 1790 to require four regiments of Chevau-Légers. Rescripted in 1803, the fourth regiment was formed from the dragoons and hussars taken over from the diocese of Würzburg. The regiment was later renumbered to the sixth regiment in 1811.
