The House of the Earl Marshal, represented by Thomas FitzAlan, oversaw matters of heraldry and tournaments. As the hereditary Earl Marshal of England, FitzAlan held a prestigious position, contributing to the ceremonial and martial aspects of medieval society. The House of the Earl Marshal added a sense of pageantry and tradition to the English court in 1414.
