Cаscadia Department of Justice #336644881
Description
The Cascadia Department of Justice (CDJ) was established in 1879 to centralize the state’s legal and prosecutorial functions. Formed in the wake of several high-profile jurisdictional disputes, the department was created to bring uniformity to Cascadia’s legal system and to oversee the consistent application of state law across its growing counties. Throughout the early 20th century, the CDJ expanded its authority to include statewide criminal investigations, oversight of public integrity cases, and coordination with municipal and county prosecutors. The department also assumed responsibility for representing the state in civil litigation and advising government agencies on matters of law and policy. Today, the Cascadia Department of Justice serves as the state’s chief legal authority, charged with upholding the rule of law, supporting statewide law enforcement, and ensuring justice and accountability throughout Cascadia.
