Arbeitsgau 30 Rxzicharbeitsdienst 1939-1945 Unofficial Faction at Dusty Face Productions (DFP) The Rxzicharbeitsdienst (RAD) was Germany’s labor army from 1935 to the end of World War II in 1945. It was divided into two sections: the RAD-M, the men’s section, and the RADwJ, the women’s section. Before entering military service, men had to serve for 6 months. When the war broke out, many men were mobilized into the Armed Forces. However, the RAD took that into account by making service mandatory for women for at least 6 months. Later this was increased to 1 year and by 1944, the service period was indefinite. As the war continued, the RAD occasionally participated in combat, mainly as engineering and anti aircraft units. By 1945, even some RAD Infantry Divisions were formed. The RAD met it’s end when it was declared illegal by occupation authorities in 1945. The 30th Arbeitsgau of the RAD was based in Southern Bavaria, it’s core being around München.
