Description
The New California Republic (NCR) is a fictional federal constitutional republic occupying the territory of the former U.S. state of California in the post-apocalyptic Fallout video game series. It is the largest and most powerful nation in the post-War wasteland, and it is dedicated to restoring the values of democracy and the rule of law. The NCR was founded in 2189 by the survivors of the small settlement of Shady Sands. The NCR quickly grew in size and power, and it eventually came to control most of California. The NCR is now a major economic and military power, and it is a beacon of hope in the post-War wasteland. The NCR is a highly centralized government, with a strong president and a powerful military.
