NAUVOO LEGION c. 1860 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Nauvoo Legion is a militia force initially raised to protect the city of Nauvoo, Illinois. Following the large-scale migration of Mormons to the Salt Lake area, the Legion itself relocated, merging with the Utah Territorial Militia whilst retaining its name.
